TJIBBE HOOGHIEMSTRA - WATER

Water as a concept is a leitmotiv in Hooghiemstra''s work. His work does not only engage in the phenomenon water per se, but also about voyages of discovery from the past, how maps were drawn and land sometimes rose as an illusion from the ocean, how water is perceived and how it is represented in visual art and science.
