BUCKRIDERS

1. Present time:
Koen (16) moves with his dad, mom and sister to Brunssum. They have to convert the old castle "Op gen Hoes", which is owned by his father''s firm, into a hotel / theme park. Koen absolutely can''t get used to life in this small town, after having had a great life in Amsterdam. Enjoying himself in Brunssum and making friends just does''t seem to work. He only makes one friend: Erik (16) who is in the same class on the Rombouts college with him. From the start, setbacks are plaguing the family and so Erik and Koen set to research into the past of the castle and the connection to the monastery in Merkelbeek. Then Koens father almost loses his life by a bizarre accident...

2. past time:
Jacob is a regular boy with a farmers job on castle Op gen Hoes. He is taught by a priest in the monastery of merkelbeek. When there are suddenly things disappearing from the castle he starts to investigate but after catching the offender, he and his Father are accused of the crimes.
